Named as one of “Canada’s Top 30 Under 30 Classical Musicians” by the national Canadian Broadcast Corporation (CBC), Canadian-American pianist Victoria Wong first gave her concerto debut with orchestra at the age of 5. She has since been invited as guest soloist with various orchestras including the Hong Kong Symphonia, Canadian Sinfonietta, New Brunswick Symphony, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, and the Millersville University Symphony Orchestra. Victoria holds a Bachelors degree from New England Conservatory of Music, and Masters degree from The Juilliard School. She was a competitor in the main stages of the prestigious 18th Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw.
Victoria has toured China with the Hong Kong Symphony, Italy with the Canadian Sinfonietta, and in Canada with the New Brunswick Symphony. Often invited as a guest artist to festivals, Victoria has performed at the 5th Shenzhen Piano Music Festival in China, Note in Citta Festival in Italy, Westben Arts Festival, and Mississauga Polish Festival in Canada. She also performs as soloist throughout Europe, North America, and Asia, at notable venues including Warsaw Philharmonic Hall, Hong Kong City Hall, Palace of Grazia in Italy, Shenzhen Performing Arts Theatre, Shenzhen Concert Hall in China, Jordan Hall in the United States, and Koerner Hall and Glenn Gould Studio in Canada.
Amongst her various awards, Victoria is the First Prize winner of the Lancaster International Piano Competition, International Fringe Award, EPTA International Piano Competition, San Francisco International Music Competition, Mozarteum Festival Competition, Carles and Sofia International Piano Competition, and the Canadian Music Competition, and is also a top prizewinner at the Canadian Chopin Competition, Orford Music Award, and the Russian Music International Piano Competition
Victoria's performances and interviews have been broadcasted nation wide, including a recital to be aired nationally on Canadian Broadcast Corporation’s radio (CBC Music) in October 2023, as well as on Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK 4), Polskie Radio (Polish national radio), Shenzhen Satellite TV in China, American television channel Sino TV, and Fairchild TV and OMNI 2 in Canada. She did an exclusive recital and talk show for Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK 4) and was also the featured guest on a televised interview show for Guangdong Radio and Television Station in China. She worked with, and gave the West coast premiere, of a new etude written by American composer Nico Muhly in 2022.
Victoria has studied with renowned pedagogue Dan Zhaoyi in China, and in the pre-college conservatory Taylor Academy of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. She received her Bachelors of Music from the New England Conservatory of Music, and her Masters of Music from the Juilliard School.
