Novilė Maceinaitė is a professional violinist and performer in various orchestra, chamber, and solo projects. Her style strongly resonates with composers of the Romantic and Modern periods, with a vibrant, expressive, and evocative sound. Music has taken her worldwide, from numerous European countries to North America, Latin America, and Asia.
Her curiosity constantly leads her to participate in numerous activities beyond the standard classical music practice. She has played with contemporary composers, including audiovisual art and electronic music performances, and has been active in social programs through education and playing. One of her latest projects took her to Ecuador, where she was an artist-in-residence at the Musica Ocupa festival, an event focused on bringing classical music to unusual spaces for audiences that don’t have access to it.
Since 2014, Novilė has been a member of The Hague Chamber orchestra Ciconia Consort. In 2016, she joined Residentie Orkest as part of her Master’s specialization and has worked since with Noord Nederlands Orkest and Metropole Orkest, among others. Currently, she is a regular guest musician with Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest. In 2023, she completed an accelerated Artist Diploma at OAcademy with distinction.
Novile is currently focused on self-managed initiatives, such as the production of concerts and independent ensembles, and is keen on taking intermediate and advanced-level students.
