Ivan Scheinvar is the concertmaster at the National Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Music Professor at the National University of Rio de Janeiro, as well as member of the Atlantic String Quartet. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Ivan Scheinvar Tavares studied with one of the greatest violin teachers in Brazil, Paulo Bosisio, under whom he completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Winner of several chamber music competitions in Brazil, including 1st place in the “A Category” of the National String Competition Paulo Bosisio, Revelation Soloist of the National Young Soloists Competition of the Goiás Philharmonic Orchestra and Honourable Mention in the Young Soloists Competition of the Montevideo Philharmonic Orchestra. Ivan soloes with the National Symphony Orchestra, Villa-Lobos String Orchestra, and other prominent ensembles nationally.
